Mental Health

It is very important to take care of your mind and emotional well-being. It is also important to reach out to your Primary Care doctor or a Wellness Coach and ask for help if you don’t feel quite like yourself. Stress, anxiety, and depression are just a few of the most common mental health disorders.

According to John Hopkins Medicine,
”Approximately 9.5% of American adults ages 18 and over, will suffer from a depressive illness (major depression, bipolar disorder, or dysthymia) each year
. Women are nearly twice as likely to suffer from major depression than men.

Some common symptoms of anxiety and depression are:

  • Feeling irritable‚ easily frustrated‚ or restless

  • Feeling sad or anxious often or all the time

  • Eating more or less than usual or having no appetite

  • Waking up too early or sleeping too much

  • Having trouble concentrating, remembering details, or making decisions
